Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted he was unhappy with the first 25 minutes of his side’s 2-2 draw at Anfield against champions Liverpool.

“I’m very unhappy. We can draw and talk about the response, but I’m not interested in the response. I’m more interested in the action. What we did in the first 25 minutes was nowhere near our level.”
“After the game against PSG I สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น said we were the better team and deserved a lot more. It’s incredible that we didn’t make it to the final. But today in the first 25 minutes we could have conceded three or four goals. After that, yes, but then we were down to 10 men and had three or four players (injured). That’s what we have to ask of ourselves.” Arteta said.
On his half-time speech: “That will be in the dressing room, yes, there will be a reaction, but only after that. If you want to win trophies and be above anyone else, with the standards set in this competition and the Champions League, you have to be proactive, not reactive.”
On next week’s game against Newcastle: “I have full confidence in all the players and we are completely clear about what we want to do. It will be a tough game and we want to secure a Champions League place and second place as well. This is a good opportunity.”
On the importance of finishing second: “If you can’t be the best team, you have to be the best of the rest. That’s very important. Today we played with 10 men again, half of our team was injured and some of them had to play when they should have been rested, but we still performed as we have done for the past seven or eight months. That’s what we ask of ourselves.”
